Tablescape Thursday/Snow White Doves

Thanks for joining me for what will be
my last Tablescape Thursday for the year of 2009.

Thanks also to
from Between Naps on the Porch
for being such a gracious hostess this year!

"Peace on earth will come to stay,
When we live Christmas every day."
-Helen Steiner Rice

May the magic and wonder of the season…
Bring joy and happiness to you…
May it be a season you will always remember…
And stay with you, your whole life through…
May the timeless message of Christmas…
Fill your heart and home with love…
May you and yours be forever blessed…
With the peace of the snow white dove…

"There's more, much more, to Christmas
than candlelight and cheer;
It's the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all year.
It's thoughtfulness and kindness,
It's hope reborn again,
For peace, for understanding,
And for goodwill to men! all!

This tablescape also includes a couple of trayscapes as well.
My inspiration started with the large white dove in the centerpiece
that I recently found at a T/S.

Then I added several pieces from my sterling silver collection.
I used my favorite silver vase as a base for the centerpiece and then topped it with a mirrored tray to place the large dove arrangement on.

The rest is made up of silver toned plates, and floral picks from Dollar Tree.

White dove ceramic napkin rings (T/S). Pine cones and greenery from my backyard, a pair of Fitz and Floyd bunnies,

and also vintage postcards from my collection.

Thanks for stopping by today and

I hope you enjoyed my final tablescape for 2009!

"May the Joy and Peace of Christmas
be with you now and throughout the new year!"

Lots of love, Sherri:)

Christmas Mantel and Tabletop~ Victoria Style!

I've been so busy having fun doing my Christmas decorating
that the time has just slipped away from me.

This month is just going by way too fast!

I still have lots of photos to share with you,
...and I can hear the clock ticking... tick tock, tick tock,

Christmas is just about here and I'm running out of time!

EEK!

So without further ado....

Here's the photos of the mantel in my Living room.

The wreath was a T/S treasure.
I added a beaded butterfly an hung it with ribbon.

Velvety burgandy Poinsettias, frosty grape floral pick,
and pine greenery from my backyard.

Gold leafed sleigh filled with backyard pine and pinecone's

I'm so lucky to have alot of great trees and bushes in my yard that I can use their foilage to add to my Christmas displays.

I painted this papier mache deer gold, and antiqued it.

Then added grapevine wreath around it's neck
with floral pick and more greenery.

I hung some gold beaded bling from the
lamps.

This is my favorite Chistmas angel!
I just love her adorable Victorian looks!

See her darling little button up boots!

An antiqued lace table runner to add to that Victorian look.

More pine greenery and Poinsettias!

Also a scrolly green candleholder and Terrarium
with pretty burgandy ornaments and greenery inside.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this little Christmas tour around my Living room!
I'll try to get the rest of my goodies posted asap!

I hope all of you are enjoying the holiday hustle and bustle!!
and celebration as well!

Warmest Wishes!!
Sherri:)

Amaryllis & Holly Berry Christmas Tablescape

Happy Holidays everyone!
So glad you could stop by and
join me today for
Tablescape Thursday hosted by our dear friend
Susan
from Between Naps on the Porch,
and Thrifty Thursday with our thrifty friend
Leigh
from Tales From Bloggeritaville.

It's been quite a while since I've posted a tablescape and ...
this tablescape was made possible
mostly in part by the generosity of a dear blogging friend

Cathy was my very first blogging friend,
and we have stayed in touch with each other often by e-mail.
Not only is Cathy generous, but she's also an inspiring interior designer!
Cathy sent me these beautiful
green patterned place mats and matching napkins.
Also a set of beautiful gold beaded snowflake napkin rings,
lovely striped tablerunner, and an adorable nutcracker!
How sweet!! Thanks again Cathy!!

For my centerpiece I used this potted Amaryllis silk flower that I put together from a single stem and cute red pot I bought from GW then added moss ribbon and a bell floral pick from JoAnn's.
Then placed it on this whitewashed gold square mirror
with a spray of berries.

Floral and berry picks are such a great and
"inexpensive"
way to jazz up your Christmas displays.
I just love them!!

As you can see I used many of them in this tablescape!

The two little crystal votive holders we're a GW find also.

The two cute little decorative gift boxes I got at the dollar store.

I also placed some white sparkly sheer wide ribbon
meandering across the runner.

The gold leafed star chargers I had...

The Crystal candlesticks with glass holders were from a T/S.

Another floral pick and gold star ornament.

Another look at centerpiece and...

Look in the background!

There's the cute little nutcracker!

One last overall look...

Well there you have it!
Hope you enjoyed having a look,
as much as I enjoyed putting this together!!

Best Wishes
and
Many blessings to you all!!

Holiday Smiles and Giggles

This is my cute little collection of smiling Giggle dolls!
They have the most darling little smiles
and when you squeeze their little hand
they giggle until you can't help yourself but to do the same!

They gingerbread boy came with his own outfit
but the other two I dressed up a bit for Christmas!

Aren't they adorable?!

Laughter is like a fresh new day,
each giggle is the dawn of a new morning;
brighten up your day and smile with laughter.

Christmas Cloche Party!

Marty @
is hosting another exciting Cloche Party!
I was a little late in getting ready for the party
and had to get a little creative since I don't own an
actual cloche...

So how about a gingerbread man in a teapot cloche?
I love gingerbread men almost as much as I love snowmen!

Does this qualify as a cloche?
It's my collection of vintage Shiny Brite ornaments.

...and up last is this poinsettia and pomegranate cake stand cloche.

So glad you stopped by to see my slightly unusual cloche's.
I had a good time putting them together...
and thats really what it's all about,
right?

Thanks to Marty for hosting another fun party!
She has put together some really great and creative cloche's for the party.
I'm sure you're gonna enjoy her's
as well as all the other party goer's cloche's

But before you head off to party,
please leave a comment and let me know you stopped by...
I always love your visits!

Thanks!
Sherri:)

Sunflower Christmas Tree

You'd hardly know it was already first day of December with the beautiful mild sunny weather we've been having here in California...
Now what could be better than some
cool sunny weather to put a smile on your face I ask?
Well...
How about this
sunny
Sunflower Christmas Tree!!

I was inspired to decorate this tree after seeing a similar one in a magazine. Also a friend of mine had done one similar with sunflowers and cherries for a Mary Englebriet look.

The look was sooo fun and cheery looking,
I just had to do one for myself.
I added my own personal touches.
Plus a quilted cut out snowman to stand next to the tree.
It was made and given to me by my Mom.
Then I mounted it on poster board and a stick so
he could stand up and wave
hello to you!

A country star on topwith a spray of red berries and yellow stars.

Santa rolling pin, and toy soldier...

House of Hatten snowman,
and
Hey is that a happy California cow?!
I think so!

Some shiny red apples, red and white gingham...

and of course a rooster or two!
and a framed photo of the one time I remember it snowing here!

Red feather cardinals, a cute little bunny girl with polka dot scarf,

Here's that other cute rooster and he's standing on top a pod of peas!
I love this darling cross stitch NOEL pillow ornament too!

holding a basket with a red spotted mushroom

A Gingerbread girl,
... and of course lots of snowmen!

I tucked this alpine tree into a wooden bushel basket for some country charm and added some faux snow (poly-batting) topped with more sunflowers, apples, berries, and a couple of cute tins.
*****
I'm so glad you stopped by,
and I hope my sunny Sunflower tree
put a smile on your face:)

Have a wonderful day!!

Sherri:)
