I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had a small gathering here
(just the way I like it).
The highlight of the evening was when I pulled my hubby up out of his chair
and insisted that he dance me around when one of our favorite
"Elvis" Christmas songs was playing ha ha!
It was fun, and his Mom got a kick out of watching us.
It had been so long since we had danced together it was like we both had two left feet!!
Hard to believe that when we were younger we could really burn up a dance floor...
Oh, the good ole days...

Now on with the re-do...
I decided that I was ready for a bit of change from the blue and white china
in my china hutch
and this is what I came up with... A wintery whitish woodsy look,
featuring vintage Ironstone with a touch of vintage green Majolica
and vintage brown transferware plates.

You can see the before photo on my sidebar.
My paper white bulbs are just about ready to bloom in this pic!!
This Ironstone pitcher is one of my latest exciting finds!!
Paper whites in BLOOM... Yay!
Close up...
hmm, could be in my next blog header I think!
(okay...done!)
Last look...
...I'm still in love with my Craigslist hutch :)
I will be taking a blogging break for a while,
I've come down with a cold virus. This makes the third (and I hope the last)
that I've gotten within the last 3 months.
I think I've been running myself a bit ragged lately and must have weakened my immune system
I guess, because I rarely get sick.
Sooo... I'll being "trying" to get a little rest and then start the
"not so fun chore" of putting away and organizing the Christmas decor...
I'd like to to wish all of you out there a
VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY
New Year
filled with MANY blessings!!
Take Care, and thanks for stopping by to visit!
Hugs, Sherri :)

Absolutely gorgeous, Sherri. I love it!
Wishing you all the best in 2012. Thanks for being such a kind and generous friend.
Warmly,

Hi! I'm visiting from BNOTP. Your china cabinet redo is just gorgeous. Love the combination of brown transferware and the white ironstone. And the photo of the blooming paperwhites against the leaded glass would make an awesome header. By the way, I really love your Christmas one, too. Since you're having many colds, I'd like to suggest yogurt to boost your immunity. I did a recent post about it because I asked for a yogurt maker for Christmas!
Oh Sherry, it looks gorgeous, I love the way you put the greenery in the decoration of the cabinet, along with the pretty dishes. I'm so glad you got to dance! I was a good dancer but hubby had his flair about him, but now, very difficult can I get him to dance, lol...Have a wonderful and happy New Year 2012.

I really love the new look of your china cabinet! Mixing the greens with the brown and white china was inspired -- looks very fresh!
The green and white mix is beautiful. We have some of the same favorite things-I have the same leaf plates and love them mixed with my white dishes. Hope you're feeling better soon!
Your cabinets looks beautiful, love the green and all the white. Love the paperwhite, they are on my list of things to try! I posted my cupboard too, hope you can stop by and take a peak. Will be your newest follower, would love to have you as a follower too, Laura - Cottage and Broome. Hope you are feeling better!
Lovely!! Thank you for linking up at Feathered Nest Friday- hope you are on the mend!
Sherri,
It's been forever, but I wanted to drop by and say hello. Your china cabinet looks lovely and I especially like the paperwhites. Sorry to see you've been under the weather.
Everything is going well with me. My daughter Heather is doing great since her transplant and we are so very, very grateful. One of these days I'm planning on blogging again now that life is calmer.
Take Care,
Cathy
