Silver Tray Treasure!

My latest trip to Goodwill was a lucky one indeed!
Sometimes I even think I hear the store calling to me when there is a wonderful treasure there just waiting for me!

This large footed tray with gorgeous repousse detailed edges took my breath away when I spotted it!  Though heavily tarnished I knew with a bit of polishing with my Wright's silver polish cream, I could bring it back to it's sparkling glory!

No that doesn't say $499.00 it says $4.99. Woo hoo!
Although I have seen similiar repousse silver trays on
e-bay for much more that 500 bucks!

Here it is all polished up and ready to serve up a lovely tea!

I like to leave just a bit of the tarnish in the crevices to bring out the wonderful detail!
Serving up some tea or goodies on a lovely silver tray is a perfect way to treat yourself, or make that special someone in your life feel extra special!

We are having some wonderful sunny weather here!
I have started doing a bit of early Spring cleaning around my house!
Also my hubby and I have been busy helping his Mom with some sprucing up
around her house too!
Funny how a little sunny weather inspires me to clean!
How bout you?!

Have a wonderful week!
Sherri:)

sherri,
You just reminded me that I think I have a tray like that somewhere, I will have to hunt it up. lol
It looks absolutely perfect on that bed. What a nice thing to do for a guest or just for yourself
to sit in bed and read a bit and have some tea
and goodies for breakfast, sounds like a fun plan to me!!
I have been doing a lil spring cleaning myself.
Yea, the nicer weather does make you feel more like cleaning I have to say.
blessings, Nellie

Very pretty tray, Sherri! And what a great bargain. I never have much luck at Goodwill, but maybe I don't go often enough. Your tea set looks beautiful on it and I love your pretty comforter.

Spring cleaning? I have been doing a little organizing, but I'll leave the cleaning until the sun comes out here!

XO,
Jane

Sherri- I love your new tray! It looks so pretty topped with your little tea set arrangement sitting on your bed.
So you've been cleaning, huh? Oh honey, I know what you mean! I'm scrubbing grout- such fun- not!
The weather didn't inspire me though- we're still having winter! LOL Enjoy your sunshine, Sherri!
hugs, Sue

What a find! Sherri, I'm so glad GW called your name when this beauty was in the store, because you shined it up and made such a pretty tea setting on it. It looks like a bed and breakfast tray on your pretty bed (love the Morning Glory pillow). laurie
