Update on my Sister~

Update on my sister.

(Linda on the right, me on the left)

Linda and I are not just sister's but best friends!

*****
Linda has had her surgery to remove the large tumor that she had. The bad news is that they found a very aggressive form of ovarian cancer .

The good news is that the cancer was only at stage II. Had she of waited another couple of months it would have been much more serious.

They removed the tumor and the cancer, and did a complete hysterectomy. She was also told her that she should have chemotherapy to take care of any remaining cancer cells.

So she is scheduled to start chemo July 31st.

She will have a total of 6 treatments, one every 3 weeks. They also told her that she will probably loose her hair too:(

Of course I'm scared for her and I feel so sad and awful for what she will have to go through. I really wish we lived closer so I could be there for her if she needs me. Hopefully I can at least go for a visit real soon.

But I'm soo thankful that the cancer was found early. She is in very good spirits and is always looking on the bright side of things!!

When I last talked to her she asked me to be on the look out for cute head scarves and matching earrings for her.

Of course I will sista... Love you!

*****

On another note for some reason unknown to me, I don't think my Sunday Favorite/Blue Monday post didn't showed up on my followers dashboard's so for those of you who missed it I hope you'll please scroll down and take a peek!

Have a wonderful day and don't forget to give your loved ones a big hug!!

Sherri:)

I pray for your sister. I too hope you get to visit her; she will need you. I have a friend that is dying of cancer she has the cancer running from her ovaries up to her breast. She is only 52 and thought she would get over some of the sickness she felt. But she waited to long to get help. In just three weeks she went from 135 lbs to 68 lbs. I know she will be with god and he will take care of her. I am so glad your sister took care of it right away. Good luck

So sorry to hear about your sister. I am a fifteen year survivor of ovarian cancer. Mine was caught early enough and I didn't have to have the treatments. At that time the doctor only took the one ovary and three months later I was pregnant with my son. He was a gift from god. I hope your sister has the same good luck that I have had. My prayers go out to her.

Thank you for dropping by my blog and your kind comments. I checked out your bench in the previous post. It's gorgeous and the checked walls were worth the sore knees.

I'm grabbing your button for my blog, come on over and grab mine.

Hi Sherri ~

I hopped on over from Debra's to visit. So sorry to hear the news about your sister but glad the cancer was found early - it truly does make a difference! (I am a breast cancer survivor; was diagnosed a year ago tomorrow.)

You have a lovely blog and I'll be back to visit again :)

Dear Sherri, I will be praying for your sister. She may not lose her hair. My sister had chemo and she didn't...so I will pray about that also.

So glad you have each other. Sending you a big hug and lot of love.

Hi dear Sherri,
I am so sorry about your sister and I am glad that the cancer was found early. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for the heads up on your last post because it didn't show up on my reader and I would have hated to miss seeing such a beautiful suite. I have loved that fabric from Waverly too. Everything in the room is just lovely. I'm so glad we got to take a peek at your bedroom.
Thank you for your sweet visit today, I'm always looking for you to stop by.
Hugs,
June

Sherri,
I am sorry you and your sister are facing this, but I know it can be cured. Since you first wrote about Linda’s situation, both of you have not been far from my thoughts and prayers. Please tell Linda to stay strong and take it one step at a time. Thank you for the update and take care. There is nothing more special then the love of a sister.
Hugs, Cathy

Sherri,
My thoughts and prayers are with you both. My mother-in-law went through ovarian cancer and has been cancer free for a few years now. Her doctors had her take a lot of mylanta before chemo treatments and it kept away the nausea that you often hear of. She might want to ask about it. A positive attitude is everything so she is on the right track.
Hugs to both of you
Dawn
