Cozy Fall Fireside Tablescape for Two

A few days ago my hubby and I celebrated our 26th Wedding Anniversary.
So I thought it would be fun to feature a cozy romantic tablescape for two by the fireside for Tablescape Thursday.
A few touches of Halloween decor for a little fun as well!

Brown and white transfer ware dishes, Waverly napkins,
iron napkin rings spray painted with the famous
Krylon oil rubbed bronze spray paint,
and etched crystal stemware, all T/S treasures.

Sunflower centerpiece on carved iron candle holders
and checked tablecloth for a bit of that
French Country feel.

A cute little Halloween ghost and pumpkin on the chair in the background
that I made with my jigsaw a few years ago.

A little wine and candlelight to set the mood.

I'm so glad you stopped by for a peek!

Please be sure to visit

The Velveteen Pumpkin

There once was a Velveteen Pumpkin....
That was sewn by this little ole country bumpkin...

It started out as a few pieces of fabric...
but with just a little love and a little magic...
Soon came to life with button eyes and a braided trim smile...
A fancy hat brimming with style...

On a pedestal of silver she sits like royalty...
In return she thanks the country bumpkin with love and loyalty...

Then of course they lived happily ever after..
Tee hee hee...:)

A Fun Little Birthday Outing!

Today my hunny took me for a fun birthday outing
to
Nevada City and Grass Valley.

Both are charming places with beautiful scenery, great shops and restaurants.

Here are my pretty Birthday cards I received all week!

We had lunch at this wonderful restaurant called Trolley Junction, its part of this great little mini resort at the Northern Queen Inn in Nevada City.

This is the entrance to the restaurant.

We had our delicious lunch outside on this patio.

Overlooking this .....
Everything was just perfect!!

Afterwards we did a little browsing in historic Nevada City.

Then also in nearby Grass Valley.

This shop I went in is called "Wild Plum".
I could have easily gone "plum wild" in there!
...but alas I had to control myself!!

I was even thinking about y'all while I was browsing around in there!!

I found myself saying things like Oh look at this hun... you know so and so from blogland would just love this!

Do any of you do that too when you go out shopping?!

So you see my friends you are still on my mind even when I'm not online...

I've actually been spending a little less time on the 'puter because I've been feeling more energetic than usual since we've finally gotten some cooler weather.
I'm still trying get some cleaning done and I've also been working on a cute sewing project I'll be showing you soon!

Then I've got another lined up to start on after that!!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Goodnight!

Easy Autumn Banner Craft Project~

Happy Autumn everybody!!
The weather has finally cooled off here and I'm thrilled to say Autumn is in the air! Yay!!

Still no rain yet... but I'm sooo happy to have the cooler temps.

The last few days I've been getting some much needed cleaning done around the house. Heck, I even cleaned underneath the frig...

I couldn't believe how disgusting it was underneath that thing!
Who'd a thunk a frig could make such an icky mess!
But I got it all cleaned up with a little T.S.P. (Tri-sodium Phosphate) and hot water.

For those of you who have never used TSP to clean with,
I gotta tell you, it's the best dirt and grease remover I've ever used!
Especially for that stubborn gunk on and around your stove!
Anyway, enough about my adventures in house cleaning....
While I was waiting for the weather to cool off I made the this cute
Autumn banner and
I thought maybe y'all might like to make one for yourself!

Here's a couple of different ways to display it.
(You can click on the pics for enlarged detail)

You'll need a a length of cording, a hole punch. I decided to use pinking shears around the edges, but that's optional if you don't have a pair.

Just click on each pic and copy to your desired size I used the 5x7 format. Also use a card stock type of paper. Then punch a hole in both upper corners with a hole punch then thread the cording through each hole.

I wrapped a piece of tape tightly around the end of the cording to make it easier to poke through the holes.

Have Fun!!
and
Happy Autumn!!
