Show us Your Roosters Party!

Let's get this party started!!!!
Yahoo!

is having a Show us Your Rooster's Party,
and rooster's all over Blogland
are comin out to strut there stuff!!

Now I have to admit that I really hadn't given much thought to how many roosters I had in my house until now, and I'm wondering... is there is a point at which you go from being crazy about roosters,

to just plum rooster crazy!!

I'm not sure... maybe you all can tell me which category I fall into!!!

I'm pretty sure it's the latter!!

There are 29 photos here, some with more than one rooster in it too!
and I didn't even count the hens!!

I've got roosters outdoors....

I've got roosters on the floor...

Roosters by the door!

They're sittin on the sofa...

They're sittin in the chairs..

They're roostin on the table tops...

Them roosters are

EVERYWHERE!!

They're perched up on the butcher block...

and even on the counter tops!!

They're struttin on the mantle...

and down upon the hearth!

They're hanging from the window sill...

and even from the walls!

They're crowing from the bookshelf...

I can hear 'em down the hall!

I know I have way too many.... but I love them oh so much…

Especially these here favorite one’s a sittin on the hutch!!

I hope you’ll please forgive me... for being a silly goose…?

I guess that’s just what happens when the roosters rule the roost!!!

***

Now...party time is over and I've got an aching head...

If these roosters stop a crowing maybe I can get to bed!

Y'all come back now....ya hear!!

My Goodies From Melissa's Giveaway~

Hi everyone! It's here! It's here!
I had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the package of goodies I won from Melissa's Birthday Giveaway,
Saturday there was a knock at the door and the waiting was over!

Here it is!!
I opened up the box and....
and everything was wrapped in pretty tissue paper.

There was also a very sweet message on a note card from Melissa!

Well now.... Here's what I did with all the goodies!

I put the darling little sign with the sweet verse and birdie on it from the giveaway, above this arrangement I had made from items I bought on my last thrift store shopping spree.

I decided to change out the pictures that were originally in the gold frames.
In case you forgot how they looked before here's the link to the post from when I bought them:

I thought these new prints looked look so cute,
and go well with the the sign too.

Be sure to click the pic to enlarge so you can get a close up look!

Unfortunately
this darling little frame got a bit damaged in during shipping.

But not to worry....

A little glue and paint, and I don't think anyone would ever notice.

Isn't this the cutest?!!

I placed it center stage on the mantel in my living room!

These adorable strawberry salt and pepper shakers (below)
have darling little bee's on them,
I just love them to pieces!!!

They make such a cute addition to my other little S&P shakers too!!

I'm sure they'll get moved around a few times before I find the ideal spot.

After all the fun and and excitement, I got a bit thirsty!

So of course I had to try out the peach tea!

....ahhh refreshing!

This was all such a wonderful treat for me!
I felt like it was my birthday!

Thank you so much for your generosity especially on your birthday, Melissa!
You are such a special person!!!

Just inside these sliding glass doors is where I am right now sitting at my computer desk.

This is my view from my desk.
I'm so missing the lillies now that they have faded:(

Gerbera daisies on my patio table with a little surprise my son found on the lemon tree. Is it a lemon or a yellow pepper?!!
Here's a funny little thing I just thought of....I have this cute little fake bumble bee to pollinate my flowers, and in in the first photo are some fake sunflowers on a wreath that I've actually caught a real bumble bee trying to pollinate several times!

Day lillies and Calla lillies all in a row.

The cement pond in the middle of our forest like backyard.

Calla lilly up close.

One single RED day lilly that sprung up in the middle of a bunch of yellow ones.

Thats kinda odd.

More calla lillies, they're kinda pinkish, purplish.

Kinda hard to tell though in this photo.

Tiger Lily....ahhhhh smells heavenly!!

All the lillies have faded for the year now....
It's so hard to wait for them to come back next year!

Blessings~

blessings
Hi everyone!
I have so much to be grateful for today!!
My Mom is out of the hospital and back home and feeling better already!!

My sister had her first chemo treatment on Friday and I when talked to her today (Saturday) she said she was feeling pretty good!

She took her meds to help with the chemo side effects, and the only problem she has had so far was some night sweats. I'm not really sure if that was from the chemo or the hysterectomy.

I feel like I have been holding my breath all month long... waiting, hoping, and praying that everything would be okay for both of them!

Today is the first of August and a new month, and I today I felt like I could breathe again!

Hallelujah!!

I really want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your positive thoughts and prayers for me and my family!
I truly feel that they really helped play a part in getting me, my mom and sister through this ordeal.

For that I am sooooo very grateful!

Both my Mom and Linda still have alot to deal with as a result of their illness, but they both made it over this hurdle with so much strength and courage!

I'm just soooo proud of both of them
and love them to pieces!

I'm going to try to get caught up with whats been going on with ya'll since I've been gone. I've really missed everyone!

Thanks again for all your support!!
XOXOXO
